Green Frog donates its stock of creams to health centres in Madrid

donation of sanitary creams
Green Frog Aloe
29 April, 2020

Staying at home and washing your hands regularly and thoroughly are two of the main precautions that have been repeated the most to avoid Covid-19 infections. That is why Green Frog Aloe wanted to alert users to the importance of moisturising and caring for their hands to avoid erosions, flaking and wounds caused by frequent exposure to soaps and other chemical agents such as alcohol-based disinfectant gels. These often remove the oils that protect the skin and facilitate the development of lesions and allergic reactions.

Proof of this is that some health workers are already suffering from these problems in their hands, due to the constant disinfection and the high level of work. For this reason, at Green Frog Aloe we have decided to donate our stock of Vera Green Dermo Bio natural creams and samples to the health staff of some hospitals in the Community of Madrid. We have sent the creams to the Hospita 12 de Octubre, to the Hospitals HM Puerta de Hierro and Puerta del Sur, and to the Hospital San Rafael, among others. For all this, we have had the support and collaboration of Labororatorios Veracetics and the transport companies Servihenares and GLS.

Hands are a source of contagion, as we touch all kinds of surfaces and objects with them. Maintaining good general hand hygiene in particular is essential to avoid contagion and transmission of the coronavirus, but it is also important to take care of our hands to avoid skin problems and to be able to continue with hygiene routines without damaging the skin. Aloe vera is one of the most powerful allies we have to protect and repair the skin.

How to care for the skin on your hands after washing and disinfection

1. Apply creams

The disinfectant gels and other alcohol-based preparations that are being used these days to disinfect hands can cause skin imbalances. Care should therefore be taken, especially in cases of previous damage, such as dryness or dermatitis. Two or more daily applications of Vera Green® Dermo Bio Ecological will help to form a dermoprotective film thanks to its natural ingredients, which include aloe vera, aloe vera wax, aloe vera, aloe vera, aloe vera and aloe vera. aloe vera, virgin beeswax and white clay. BIO.

2. Repairs

If during these days you have not been paying attention to the care of your hands, beyond hygiene or disinfection, you may have already noticed dryness or even some lesions have appeared. In these cases, the best thing to do is to resort to creams specially formulated to repair. Vera Green® Dermo Therapeutic Vera Green® Dermo Therapeutic cream includes, in addition to aloe vera, other important natural ingredients such as almond oil, centella asiatica, helichrysum, tea tree and plantain. Apply 1 to 5 times a day to the affected areas to help them heal quickly.

3. Add repair to your hydroalcoholic gel

Disinfecting, nourishing, caring and moisturising at the same time is possible with a mixture that we can make at home. Gema Martíz, Nutritionist and Therapist at Espacio Argenta, recommends this simple recipe: "Put 96º alcohol and body milk in an empty bottle in a ratio of 50%-50% or 60%-40%, respectively. Vera Green Body Milk®in a ratio of 50%-50% or 60%-40%, respectively. This lotion will allow your hands to be moisturised and cared for, thanks to the properties of all its natural ingredients, including 100% ORGANIC aloe vera, rosehip or witch hazel".

This type of solution helps to disinfect the hands, but also to keep them moisturised and cared for. In this way, in addition to maintaining hygiene, we ensure that the skin does not suffer from substances as aggressive to the skin as alcohol. Mónica García Bodini, founder of Green Frog Aloe, explains.
